The mission of LWD is the
following:
To promote the community based
Vocational Education and Trainings towards the effective work and sustainable
employment among the young girls.
1.3 GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE
LWD is ruled by the law N°04/2012
of 17th February 2012 governing the non-governmental
organizations in Rwanda. LWD has the Head Office at Kayonza town in Mukarange
Sector, Kayonza District, Eastern Provinceand is allowed to work in the hall
country of Rwanda.

ACHIEVEMENTS FROM JULY 2014 TO
DECEMBER 2015
By 2015, LWD did different activities through the following
programs:
1.1.Youth
Education and skills development
1)
Training
and teaching the youth (both girls and boys) in different manual works through
CBYVS
First cohort of trainings:
In the first cohort of the course
conducted by LWD through its CBYVS, 484 young men and women were trained in
Kayonza District including 222 girls (46%) and 262 boys (54%). 276 among them were following their
course at Karambi cell in Murundi sector, 110
in Mukarange, and 98 in Rukara
sectors of Kayonza District
The graduates of the first cohort had been given their
completion certificates in graduation ceremony that took place at Kayonza on
12/08/2015,and the guest of honor was the
Mayor of Kayonza District Mr John MUGABO
