LWD’s PROGRAMS AND MAIN ACTIVITIES

              i.                        Education:
-          Technical and Vocational Education and Trainings
-          Entrepreneurship so that the mindset of the youth about the work should be improved
-          Develop the moral values focusing to fight against different threats to the work like Laziness, unwanted and earlier pregnancies, drug abuse, HIV AIDS and other diseases, through collective works, sports and leisure. 
According the vocational trainings, through its Community Based Youth Vocational School (CBYVS), LWD trains the vulnerable young girls and boys in manual works like Hair dressing, sewing/tailoring, automobile mechanics and welding.  

            ii.                        Capacity Building:
-          Encourage the youths to join and work into cooperatives
-          Facilitate the effective management of their cooperatives
-          Promote the culture of creativity and innovation in their activities

          iii.                        Research about the youth economic empowerment
-          To study how the non-employed youth may create new jobs and the way the already jobs created may be sustainable

           iv.                        To facilitate the youth Awareness, Information and Communication to the available opportunities in and out of the community and sharing experiences and best practices where the programs have been successful

            v.                        Volunteerism and Sponsorship (VESE Program)
-          To mobilize youths about different programs of the organization and be models in their implementation
-          To incite the community and stakeholders to contribute to the effective work and sustainable employment among the young girls
-          To fight against barriers to the effective work like climate change, laziness, low mentalities about the work, HIV/AIDS and other diseases,
-          To fight against unwanted and early pregnancies among young girls, and early marriage among the youth
-          To ensure and conduct the counseling and empowerment of the mother girls  
-          To sensitize the community about environmental protection, social justice, Gender equity, child rights and child protection
LWD has above 1012 volunteers (VESE) across Rwanda, striving for effective work and sustainable employment among the youth and fighting against different barriers that may be obstacles.

          vi.                        Monitoring and Evaluation
-          To assure the systematic monitoring and evaluation of the organization’s plans and the plans for beneficiaries
